Why 'Vita Nova'? It's Latin for 'New Life', and refers to some of the constructional elements having been reclaimed and reused. The body, for example, came from a bar top; as such there are marks in it that have been retained deliberately, as they speak to its history. There's brass, copper, and steel here that was collected by my grandfather. It's where new meets old...

  • Technical Notes:

The bass cut (as also seen on the Arcanus model) is incredibly useful, especially as the pickups are 2-conductor wire, and thus cannot be split. Dialling the bass end down simulates a thinner, more single coil-like tone, but with none of the associated 60-cycle hum, giving you all of the benefits with none of the drawbacks. Plus, it's a completely passive system, so no batteries required.
